Bridget Alsdorf is associate professor of art and archaeology at Princeton University. She has published essays on Bonnard, Cézanne, Degas, Gaillard, Manet, Hammershøi, Poussin, and Vallotton and serves on the editorial board of nonsite.org. The author of Fellow Men: Fantin-Latour and the Problem of the Group in Nineteenth-Century French Painting (2013), her current research centers on crowds and gawkers in fin-de-siècle French art.
