Hillary Chute

Hillary Chute is the author of several books on comics, aesthetics, and politics, most recently Disaster Drawn: Visual Witness, Comics, and Documentary Form (2016).  In partnership with Critical Inquiry, in 2012 she organized a conference at the University of Chicago, “Comics: Philosophy & Practice,” and coedited, with Patrick Jagoda, a special issue of Critical Inquiry entitled "Comics & Media” inspired by the conference.
