R. John Williams is associate professor of English at Yale University and author of The Buddha in the Machine: Art, Technology, and the Meeting of East and West (New Haven, 2014), which won the Harry Levin Prize from the American Comparative Literature Association. He is currently at work on a new manuscript titled The Oracles of World Time.
