Sara Castro-Klaren is Professor in the Department of German and Romance Languages and Literatures at The Johns Hopkins University. Her fields of specialization are the modern Latin American novel, literary and cultural theory, and colonial studies. Her most recent book is The Narrow Pass of Our Nerves: Writing, Coloniality and Postcolonial Theory (Vervuert, 2011).
