The name Michel Foucault has a strong association with Critical Inquiry. His classic statement, “The Subject and Power” (Summer, 1982), is by far the most-accessed  article in the Critical Inquiry database.  Arnold I. Davidson, an Executive Editor of the journal, is Series Editor for the English edition of Foucault’s lectures at the Collège de France.

For this feature we present the first English translation of a famous interview that Foucault gave to Jean LeBitoux to 1978.
