Marissa Fenley is a Harper Schmidt Collegiate Assistant Professor in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Chicago and the Literary Fellow at Court Theatre. Her scholarship theorizes the ways that theatrical techniques, from puppetry practice to affective prosthetics to plasticity, put the natural body under pressure. Marissa is also a founding editor and current associate editor at Mid Theory Collective, a digital little magazine on the contemporary.
