Priscilla Layne is an associate professor in the Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She most recently published White Rebels in Black: German Appropriation of African American Culture in 2018. She is currently working on a monograph entitled Out of this World: Afro-German Afrofuturism.
