Tim Shao-Hung Teng is a doctoral student in East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University. His research focuses on film and visual cultures from late-nineteenth through mid-twentieth-century China and Taiwan. His articles have appeared in Concentric: Literary and Cultural Studies and Taiwan Insight, and are forthcoming from Journal of Chinese Cinemas and New Review of Film and Television Studies.
