Critical Inquiry Critical Inquiry

Alen Agaronov

Alen Agaronov studied social and behavioral sciences at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, where he also pursued a secondary field in critical media practice and taught courses in areas ranging from social medicine, to aesthetics, to making, to higher education. He was also a New Civics scholar at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Rose Service Learning Fellow at The Chan School. His latest project, Mediterranean Imaginaries, used performance elements such as "the happening" and chroma key to investigate the field experience of investigators in the Seven Countries Study that led to their discovery of the Mediterranean Diet. Past projects investigated such things as: the prop nature of survey instruments in a workplace happiness program; the staging of board rooms in a child health program; the webinar as a tool for social inquiry; and the performativities of poster presentations.
