Amanda Shubert is the Lindsay Family Humanities Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago and, as of August 2020, Research Associate and Associate Lecturer in the Departments of English and Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She researches nineteenth-century literary and media culture, with a focus on the intersections between Victorian fiction, optical technology, and the emergence of cinema.
