Bogdan Vișan is an MA student in Romanian literary studies at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania. His research focuses on world literature studies, particularly (semi-) peripheral literatures in East-Central Europe, Marxist cultural analysis, and media studies. He has presented at the 2024 Historical Materialism Conference in Cluj / Kolozsvár, hosted by Babeș-Bolyai University, and at the 2025 Emerging Scholars Workshop on Sources and Approaches in the Study of East-Central and Southeastern Europe, hosted by the UNC Center for Slavic, Eurasian, and East European Studies.
