Bryan Counter holds a PhD in comparative literature from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and teaches at Western New England University and Framingham State University. His work has appeared in SubStance, Barthes Studies, symplokē, S: Journal of the Circle for Lacanian Ideology Critique, and Literature and Event: Twenty-First Century Reformulations (2022). He recently guest edited a special themed edition of the First To Knock periodical on the work of Maurice Blanchot.
