Charles Warren teaches film studies at Boston University and in the Harvard Extension School. He is the author of T.S. Eliot on Shakespeare (1986), editor of Beyond Document: Essays on Nonfiction Film (1996) as well as several volumes of Robert Gardner’s writings and photographs, and coeditor of Jean-Luc Godard's “Hail Mary”: Women and the Sacred in Film (1993). Recently he has contributed to books on Jean Rouch, Michael Haneke, and Hitchcock’s Vertigo, and to The Wiley-Blackwell History of American Film. He writes on music for the online journal New York Arts.
