Christopher Goetz (pronounced like "Gates") is a film, digital media, and videogame scholar whose research focuses on fantasy and play across a range of platforms from cinema to interactive digital media. Chris is assistant professor of Cinematic Arts and the Public Humanities in a Digital World Cluster at the University of Iowa. His published works have appeared in Games and Culture, Camera Obscura, New Media & Society, The Psychoanalytic Study of the Child, and an edited volume on Queer Game Studies (2017). He is one of the founding organizers of the Queerness and Games Conference (QGCon).
