Eivind Røssaak is Associate Professor at the Department of Research and Collections at the National Library of Norway, Oslo, former Visiting Professor at the Department of Cinema and Media Studies, University of Chicago and Taipei Tech, and former Fellow at Cinema Studies Department, New York University and USC, Los Angeles. He has published research on aesthetics, images, archival issues, critical theory, and infrastructure. Among his publications are The Still/Moving Image (2010), the edited volumes, The Archive in Motion: New Conceptions of the Archive in Contemporary Thought and New Media Practices (2010), Between Stillness and Motion: Film, Photography, Algorithms (2011), Memory in Motion: Archives, Technology, and the Social (2017), and Digitization and Diversity: Challenges and Potentials for the Culture and Media Sector (forthcoming).
