Gary Kafer

Gary Kafer is a postdoctoral teaching fellow in the Department of Cinema & Media Studies and The College at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on the politics of surveillance cultures, with emphasis on how digital technologies reproduce existing power relations. His peer-reviewed work has appeared in journals including American Literature, Surveillance & Society, and qui parle, as well numerous edited volumes including Queer Data Studies from University of Washington Press.
