Jacob Pagano is a JD candidate at UCLA School of Law, focusing on international law. A graduate of Amherst College (BA, English), he is also a freelance writer. His essays and reporting have been published in Ozy, Sapiens, and Critical Read, among others. His essay, "One Must Say Yes: The Poetics of Affirmation in Works by Fanon, Ellison, and Baldwin," is currently under peer-review with CLA Journal.
