Jamison Kantor is an associate professor of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century literature at The Ohio State University and author of Honor, Romanticism, and the Hidden Value of Modernity (2022). His recent essays have appeared in the Keats-Shelley Journal, Jump Cut, and PMLA. Alongside writing on popular film and politics, he is finishing a book on Romantic culture, automation, and the concept of historical inevitability.
