Jan Baetens is a professor of cultural studies at the University of Leuven. He is also the author or editor of numerous books, including Novelization: From Film to Novel (2018), The Graphic Novel: An Introduction (with Hugo Frey, 2014), and The Cambridge History of the Graphic Novel (with Hugo Frey and Stephen M. Tabachnick, 2018).
