Jeanne Etelain holds a PhD completed in joint supervision between New York University and the University Paris Nanterre. Currently a lecturer in philosophy and contemporary theory at the School of Fine Arts in Montpellier, she is also an associate researcher at the HAR laboratory at the University Paris Nanterre. Her research explores the philosophy of ecology, space, and the Earth, with a particular focus on new materialisms, feminist epistemologies, and the revival of contemporary metaphysics. She is the author of Zones: Terre, Sexes, et Science Fiction (2025), the first book derived from her dissertation. At the same time, she is involved in publishing and translation, notably as a member of the executive committee of the journal Les Temps qui restent.
