John Carlos Rowe is USC Associates Chair in the Humanities and Professor of English, American Studies and Ethnicity, and Comparative Literature at the University of Southern California. He is the author of nine books, more than 150 essays and reviews, and editor or coeditor of eleven books, including Literary Culture and US Imperialism: From the Revolution to World War II (2000), A Concise Companion to American Studies (2010), Afterlives of Modernism (2011), and The Cultural Politics of the New American Studies (2012). His new book on Henry James, Our Henry James, will be published in 2018.
