Julie Orlemanski is associate professor of English at the University of Chicago. She writes on medieval literature and theoretical and methodological questions in present-day literary studies. Her monograph Symptomatic Subjects: Bodies, Medicine, and Causation in the Literature of Late Medieval England was published in 2019, and she is currently working on two projects, one on fictionality, the other on prosopopoeia.
