Rachel Watson

Rachel Watson is an Assistant Professor of American Literature at Howard University. Her work has appeared in Mississippi Quarterly, Obsidian, Sonora Review, and the edited collection Faulkner & Mystery. She is currently working on a book that considers the legal and political significance of crime fiction written during the era of Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movement, in support of which she received an NEH Award for Faculty for the 2017–18 year.
