Senida Poenariu received her PhD in 2018 from Transilvania University of Brașov. She is the author of Reveriile Vestului. Lecturi americane în poezia optzecistă (Western Reveries: American Readings on Eighties Poetry, 2022). She is currently a researcher at the Faculty of Letters and Arts at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, and an editor at the literary journal Vatra. As a postdoctoral researcher, she is a member of the project "Theorizing (Sub)Peripheries: Strategies of Synchronization in Southeast European Literary and Cultural Criticism." Her work has appeared in international journals including Mass Communication and Society, Across Languages and Cultures, Journal of Consumer Culture, and Studies in East European Thought.
