Susanna Berger is Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Southern California. Her book, The Art of Philosophy: Visual Thinking in Europe from the Late Renaissance to the Early Enlightenment, appeared with Princeton University Press in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Bainton Art and Music Prize for the best book in English in the field of early modern art and music from the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference. Her articles are published in The Art Bulletin, The Journal of the Warburg and Courtauld Institutes, Intellectual History Review, Word & Image, Art History, Global Intellectual History, and elsewhere. Berger was awarded a 2019 Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship.
