Wendy Kozol

Wendy Kozol is professor of comparative American studies at Oberlin College. Her research and teaching interests include visual culture studies, comparative feminist theories and methodologies, and militarization and human rights. Her most recent book, Distant Wars Visible: The Ambivalence of Witnessing (2014), examines a range of visual cultures that depict twnety-first-century US military conflicts to consider how the politics of spectatorship and empathy shape visual witnessing practices.
