Zheng Wang is associate professor at Harbin University. His research engages with critical theory, discourse studies, and multimodal semiotics, focusing on how language and other symbolic forms produce, negotiate, and contest ideology, power, and subjectivity within contemporary cultural and political formations. His recent work interrogates the semiotic and ideological dimensions of media discourse, with particular attention to the interplay of linguistic, visual, and embodied modes of meaning-making. His work has appeared in a number of leading Chinese academic journals, including Foreign Language Teaching and Literature and Art Criticism.
